My mother has a cup that she sips water from during the day. She usually uses a plastic straw, but I find it hard to clean. I got her a glass sipper for her 99 birthday along with some other things. The glass sipper was one of her favorite gifts!
I would love to see a picture of your 99(!) year old mother sipping from her GlassSipper! So glad that I can have a small part in making her 100th year on this planet a bit better.

A very pretty feel good straw
My fish straw is just beautiful, as are all Glass Sipper straws.
The fish one in particular brings me good feelings, reminding me of happy childhood times drawing and colouring fish and also of having a goldfish as a pet. I also find there's something cute/playful about the idea of a fish "swimming" in the liquid that comes up the straw. ::-)
But yes, it is beautifully made too. And a pleasure both to look at and to use. The colours are very pretty together. The details, as in the 2 different colours on the fins, make it look extra nice. I just love the eyes on Glass Sipper "critters" straws. So cute!
But it is beautifully made as well. It really is a usable piece of art.
